We provide some guidance on how to solve the "no Internet" issue after connection.
Examples of this issue include Internet connection stops immediately or stops in a short time.
Reasons for this issue may include:
- Server Availability: The VPN server location you are trying to connect to is closed/overloaded/under maintenance.
- Firewall or Antivirus Interference: The VPN connections may be blocked by Firewalls or antivirus software on your device or network.
- Protocol or Port Blocking: Some networks or Internet service providers (ISPs) may block specific VPN protocols or ports.
How to fix?
Follow the steps below to solve this issue. Skip the rest of the steps if solved.
1. Check your Internet connection
2. Connect to a nearer/different server location
- Connect to a nearer server location
VPN connectivity majorly depends on the distance from the server to which you are connected. Please connect to the fastest server (or geographically closest one).
- Connect to a different server location
Please choose the top server on the list. The top server has the strongest signal on your devices.
3. Change protocols
Sometimes, VPN protocols will have difficulty keeping a strong connection. If you are using Automatic / Open VPN (which we generally recommend), you could try connecting over ISSR/ IPSec / Ikev2. However, we recommend sticking with Automatic whenever you can for the best experience.
4. Change Internet Service Provider (ISP)
ISPs can block a VPN through various techniques, most common are through port and IP address blocking. If you’re unable to connect to the Internet when using a VPN, it might be due to your ISP restricting access. You can solve this problem by switching to a different ISP.
5. Update to the latest version
We constantly improve our software to ensure it is as stable and effective as possible.
If you’re not running the most current version, you might have some stability issues.
If at all possible, allow automatic updates to your Turbo VPN software.
