On iOS 26 Beta 5, devices with a passcode or Face ID enabled may block VPN apps from completing the authorization process. This can cause the VPN configuration to fail to add. Apple’s beta software sometimes changes how VPN authorization works. These changes may cause temporary issues that will likely be fixed in a later beta or the public iOS release.
This is not a Turbo VPN-specific bug — it affects multiple VPN apps due to changes in iOS authorization handling.
How to Fix
Step 1 – Turn Off Your Device Passcode
- Open Settings → Face ID & Passcode (or Touch ID & Passcode).

- If Turn Passcode Off is visible, tap it.
- If not visible, tap Reset Face ID first, complete the reset, then tap Turn Passcode Off.

- If not visible, tap Reset Face ID first, complete the reset, then tap Turn Passcode Off.
- Read the prompt carefully — disabling passcode removes Apple Pay cards, car keys, and passcode-based Apple ID recovery.
- Tap Turn Off to confirm.
Step 2 – Add the VPN Configuration
- Open Turbo VPN.
- When prompted with “Turbo VPN Would Like to Add VPN Configurations,” tap Allow.

Step 3 – Re-enable Your Passcode
- Go to Settings → Face ID & Passcode.
- Tap Turn Passcode On.
- Follow the on-screen steps to set a new passcode and adjust passcode settings.
